so they should not be kept in the same aquarium with one unless it is guarded by aggressive clownfish

In the wild it typically grows within cracks in the rocks

and a single black blotch marks the base of its tail

Their stout bodies come in a wide range of colors and textures. They may be rather smooth or bumpy textured. Colors are typically bright red or orange. Most Anglers grow to only 4 inches with some larger species rarely exceeding 8 inches. Because of their low activity level any of them may be kept in aquariums of 20 30 gallons in size.
