I was looking down to see what the stillness of the morning was showing in the harbor

Snow has not been plentiful during the winter 2012/13

With this in mind I headed to Washington Park in Denver to photograph a tree which I have been photographed for the past few years

this area on the northeast corner is now marked with businesses which were once thriving

This was exactly the case as the sun lit up the clouds for a couple of minutes during the first sunrise for the year over the skyline of Denver

Denver Skyline at Dawn Size:8"x10" I was looking down toThe lookout at Speer and Zuni in probably the most popular location to photograph the skyline of Denver. Showing up about 45 minutes prior to sunrise brought a dramatic looking sky over Denver. At sunrise itself a cloud deck had built up providing a muted sunrise this year as the month of November starts.
