I recorked the bottle and tasted it again a couple of hours later to find that it keeps changing

There is a lovely sense of underlying tension to the mineral-inflected

A slightly riper and more complex nose of very earthy and slightly sauvage dark berry fruit aromas set of by a touch of wood spice leads to dense and attractively textured medium-full flavors that possess a seductive mouth feel and I like the subtle sense of harmony as this is balanced

As it almost always is this is more refined than the Chambertin if less powerful and a bit less mineral driven

Jacques Prieur, Clos Vougeot other_regions The aromas are the best(from a 1. 19 ha parcel of vines at the bottom of the slope; 35% whole clusters). This too is exceptionally ripe with jammy black pinot fruit and warm earth scents that are trimmed in a hint of prune. There is better verve to the large scaled flavors that are not quite as dense as those of the Bressandes but do offer good power on the very firm finish that is again shaped by relatively grippy and inelegant tannins.
