Installing metallic fittings into this valve will likely lead to a crack(s). Polypropylene (use liquid Teflon, not Teflon tape when installing fittings). Do Not use Teflon tape, using too much Teflon tape will damage or crack the brand new valve. PVC to PVC: Non drying liquid Teflon
