and in the 1980’s I sold many of these at the Festival of the Arts in Oklahoma City

I thought it important to use both coupe and convertible versions of the Pace Car and created the background from three older ads for Bardahl with an older Indy Race Car for the perfect setting

”  The old brick wall with a new sign advertising Vineyard Tours seemed appropriate

I did embellish the image by adding a fictional 1972 Corvette sales poster in the window

"Thunder Road" Automotive Series area seemed to be anThunder Road is a departure from my usual composition, but my photograph of a ZR 1 in Colorado convinced me to create a major work with a focus on certain details rather than a complete car. The lighting and reflections were too perfect to pass up. The title recalls the 1950s movie as well as a Bruce Springsteen tune, implying that no Corvette creates Thunder like a ZR 1.
