Ribbon falls cascades over slabs of granite just below black lake as glacier creek thunders its way down the mountains making its way through glacier gorge in Rocky Mountain National Park

I set out on this February morning to enjoy and photograph the fresh blanket of snow that covers this area around wildflower lake with burr oak trees standing tall in the background in Northern Illinois

I moved along the trail as the sun was now above the box elder trees and noticed this incredible scene of the low lying mist being illuminated by the suns rays with an orange hue
