Later in 1901 it was transferred to the new genus Xenesthis that would be established by Reginald Innes Pocock

This spider was described in 1942 by two  Argentinian woman arachnologist Rita Delia Schiapelli and Berta Sofía Gerschman

These giants are a hobby staple and will always be one of my favorite

These and other “Macrothele” type spiders are by far my favorites to keep in captivity

My guess is they get about 5 inches as adults and look like a terrestrial species. The only pic that I have seen they appear to be a grey spider with a fuzzy appearance. Any other info that I can gather will be updated here. For now your guess is as good as mine.
